AvtoVAZ suspends one line for Friday on electronics shortage

MOSCOW, Jul 16 (PRIME) -- Russia’s AvtoVAZ will suspend manufacture of Lada Granta and Lada Niva models for one day on Friday due to a shortage of supplies in electronic components by Bosch Samara, the carmaker said in a statement.

The assembly line’s staff will be paid two thirds of the average salary according to the Labor Code.

It will be the company’s fourth suspension of production since the beginning of June due to the lack of components.
